Bosch proportional solenoid with a blue cap for the Mercedes-Benz 722.9 automatic transmission (7G-TRONIC and 7G-TRONIC PLUS). Controls the K1 clutch, the B3 and B2/BR brakes and the torque converter lock-up. OEM number A 220 277 09 98, reference 88421, 2 pins. The transmission uses four blue-cap and four black-cap solenoids - they look identical but differ in characteristic and must not be swapped. Mercedes allows at most three solenoids to be replaced in one repair; after replacement carry out the shift adaptation in XENTRY, no coding is needed. Fit new solenoid O-rings (kit 0863); tightening torque 8 Nm.
